True Story

I realized that there is something most of you don’t know about me. So gather ’round while I tell you a very short story.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Bob. Bob and his friends were in school, messing around with Latin prefixes, suffixes, roots, and verbs. They decided to put as many of those together as they could. They created, in the span of an afternoon, a very long word that can be tricky to pronounce. The word meant ‘more than beautiful,’ and they were very proud of it. Bob and his friends grew up, got married, and had children. One of the boys had a son. His son went to work on a Disney movie. The movie was a huge hit and was beloved by millions around the world. The word: Supercalifradulisticexpialidocious.

Bob was my father’s father.

You could say that supercalifradulisticexpialidocious runs in the family.

The End.

  1. That is just too cool! I always wondered what the word meant and now that I know I love it even more. It’s so amazing what our grandparents or great grandparents came up with that transcend generations. 😀

Got something to say?
