To: You

So I tried to make a video message to say this, but since windows movie maker is being a brat and won’t let me save anything I work on, you’re going to have to forego the pleasure of my derp face and take it in text.

I’ve been getting a lot (a LOT) of emails lately from people who’ve been stalking reading my blog for months or years (years, people. YEARS. There are those of you saw me at FOURTEEN. And that’s not at all creepy) and are only just now saying hi and shooting me messages and comments – so I just want to say, whether you’re a silent follower, a regular commenter, an emailer, a unicorn, or whatever; thank you so much. I love each and every one of you, and I love hearing from you. You aren’t bothering me if you shoot me an email or post a long comment – in fact, you’re making my day. I hope more of you will continue to announce yourselves (or…don’t…you don’t HAVE to…) and I don’t bite and I’m a relatively nice person, so you have nothing to worry about.

Long story short: I LOVE YOU.

And it’s very, very nice to meet you.

  1. Well, I’m glad I commented back when I first found you, too… XD But 😛 I think I’m an emailer…I’d rather be a unicorn, but I guess we can’t have everything we want. Anyway, I was just going to comment and say I have emails coming to you – I just got internet some place other than school so I’m behind. Actually, I think I was going to say you’re awesome and leave it at that, but it’s late and I’m obviously much too tired to be anywhere online at all, even if I did just get internet… 😉 Have a brilliant Friday!

  2. Well since you’ve gone and given me your permission, I thought I’d poke my head out of my shell and post this.

I’m sorry to say that I haven’t been following you for very long…only since Scribbles and Inkstains did a feature of you and your book Monster. Immensely intrigued by the interview, I wandered over to your blog and read up on a few of your posts until I realized I couldn’t not follow you! (That does sound rather stalker-ish doesn’t it? XD) I bought a copy of your book when it came out, and read it in a day. It was so engrossing and suspensful I couldn’t put it down! Amazing job. I’m really looking forward to your upcoming books, especially The Care and Keeping of Jupiter.

I’m actually working on my own first novel (it’s still in it’s development stage, but I’m hoping to write it soon), and the fact that you’re merely a year older than me have already published yours (with many more to come) inspires me so much to keeping pression on and not give up. Anyway…you’re awesome. That’s all I’m saying. I always look forward to reading your posts. 😀
